Ghetto X-Mas Party

Went back to Tampa for the Holidays and went a little early so I could go to SPoT's Christmas Costume Party. Prepare for a long post. I ran into a lot of old friends and I shot a lot of photos.

Photobucket
Hello, Ybor.

Photobucket
Tampa/Lakeland OG Mike Goodwine was there as Santa. You could sit on Santa's lap and get a polariod shot.

Photobucket
Barak took the offer.

Photobucket
Adam Burgess, AKA Sadam, AKA SZA SAD just got back from a year in Japan a couple days ago. Welcome back to Tampa.

Photobucket
Drunk Aaron was there with his newest invention. The beer glove.

Photobucket
Ian Gow has been in SF for a while making it happen with a skateboard career. Welcome back.

Photobucket
Levi Combs caught him with this dildo (a party favor) later on.

Photobucket
Gator Skate Shop's own Project Pat!

Photobucket
Chris Fulton came out. Me and this dude go back a few years.

Photobucket
Dodge was there with his girl. I walkd by him with my camera and he just looked at me and slowly flipped me off. "Do you want a photo, Ryan?"
"Yeah."

Photobucket
Ryan Clements ran the gangster costume again. He tricked about 10 people before they realized it was him. He confronted and insulted me, and right before I 'did something about it' he was like, "It's me, Clements."

Photobucket
Giles was there in some sort of half-assed gangster costume.

Photobucket
Who is this dude?

Photobucket
Trailer Park Mafia head honcho Trailer Park Tyler! The funniest and sketchiest dude I know.

Photobucket
Frank Branca's girlfriend Alyssa set him up with a PBR beer bong a few minutes later.

Photobucket
The Gator Skate Shop crew and Mike Goodwine.

Photobucket
Abdias was home for Christmas. It's weird to me that there's kids out there who consider Abdias to be one of their favorite skaters. Not because he's not really really good, but just because I've known this dude for 5 years or so. But anyhow, good idea kids.

Photobucket
Aaron strapped a few too many beers to his glove and went home pretty early.

Photobucket
Drinker Pat was on the scene.

Photobucket
Rob Meronek came out with some ill glasses.

Part 2 coming soon... and by soon I mean, as soon as Photobucket quits fucking up.

Pre Christmas Shreddin'.

Everyone's off of school for Christmas so we went out shredding. Took the Beach Side New Smyrna kids out to a street spot. "The Edge Bump."

Photobucket
Matty warmed 'er up with a Pop-Shove It Tail Grab.
Photobucket
Alec got caught slippin'.
Photobucket
Stacie came along and made pretty quick work of this Pop-Shove It.
Photobucket
Yo, Alec!
Photobucket
The sky was so strange. Like a Tom Petty album cover. Insane.
Photobucket
The Earth Died Screaming While I Was Dreaming...
Photobucket
Stacie can't resist a street grab opportunity.
Photobucket
Good job, Cole. Sorry we left you at the spot on purpose.
Photobucket
"Man, fuck. Fuck, man. I'm over it...fuck."
Photobucket
"It looks good..."
Photobucket
Alec always blows it on the first try but always gets it on the 2nd or 3rd try.
Photobucket
Yeah, Matt.
Photobucket
Zach was encouraging his brother.
Photobucket
"I think I can do it..."
Photobucket
"Dude, a-huh huh, the tiki's got a Joint! a-huh huh."
Photobucket
Get Artsy!
Photobucket
Yo America.
Photobucket
Sid Hopeless.
Photobucket
Kim and Dem were in the shop getting the Friday night festivities going.
Photobucket
This T-Shirt choice was great. I have to work tomorrow so I had to miss tonight's Shaqueefa demo in Tampa so this shirt felt like I was back on E. Columbus Blvd.
Photobucket
Funny story about these shoes, CJ IM'ed me really excited about them and all I sad was "Those are so queer." About a minute and a half after all he replied was "Everyone else likes them." and signed off. It's still funny.
Photobucket
Swear to God, I told CJ this was for my blog and he made this face.

The Return...

So after a 2 month period of no contact whatsoever Jamie Campbell called me up to go skate. It'd been way too long. I also had forgotten how absolutely weird his family is besides his Mom. I knocked on the door, his sister answered it "Jamie?"
"Yeah."
"He's here..." and she walked away. Creepy!

His partner Dude Jack was in tow as well.

Tumultuous skies loomed.

We buttered that ledge.

And did some Frontside Noseslide's.

This dude was creepin'.

This ledge is fun for slides, as well as for quick dips.

Jamie ain't afraid of no water.

Jack's kickflip's never get old to me. I swear to Christ and Science at the same time he landed this.

Wild shit on the dashboard...

I blinded Jack with flash for making a smart comment about my fervent adoration of Hip-Hop and the fact that I was enjoying a chicken sandwich from KFC.

He really pushed from the end of the parking lot. I guess a lot of runway is better than not enough.

Ollie right to a kickout.

I wanted to browse the plants but no one else would humor me in that department.

One of my favorite spots ever is almost dried out enough to skate it. I'm also moving right next to it in a week and a half. TIMING.

Jamie and Jack's boards. Real bros skate basically the exact same set up.
